The Ukrainian venture fund Angel One Fund has announced an investment in the defense-tech startup Vigilant Works. This marks the fund’s 14th investment in 2.5 years and the fourth in defense technology in 2026.
The size of the investment is kept secret, but it is known to match the fund’s average check, which varies from $50,000 to $200,000. Vigilant Works plans to use the funds for the development of autonomous technologies, creation of radar solutions, and scaling operational activities. Additionally, the Algiz-2 system is financed through grants.
The interaction between Angel One Fund and Vigilant Works began at the Brave1 cluster event, where Ukrainian defense-tech companies presented their developments to investors. Angel One Fund, established at the Ukrainian Catholic University, supports startups by Ukrainian founders, including companies like Zeely, Haiqu, Mosqitter, and others. In March 2026, the fund raised $3 million to support 12 Ukrainian startups, investing equally in civilian and defense technologies.
Vigilant Works specializes in counter-UAV systems and is actively working on a new version of its Algiz-2 interceptor system. This version is expected to reach speeds of over 600 km/h. The company is supported by the Brave1 / Ministry of Defense EU4UA program.
