Ukrainian drone manufacturer F-Drones opens a factory in the USA
Ukrainian company F-Drones, through its American representation Ukrainian Defense Drones (UDD), is establishing drone production in Holland, Ohio. This was announced by American Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.
The total investment in the project amounts to $18.4 million, which envisions creating over 300 new jobs. The new factory will specialize in the assembly and production of FPV drones, as well as maintenance, testing, and training of specialists. Additionally, the production will serve as a platform for integrating new software and hardware.
The factory’s launch became possible thanks to a contract with the Pentagon, obtained under the Drone Dominance Program, which provides for the expansion of drone production for the U.S. Army. F-Drones became the first Ukrainian manufacturer to receive an export permit for this product for the American military, highlighting the importance of the agreement.
F-Drones CEO Stas Khutor noted that production in the USA will significantly increase the output of drones for the needs of the American army and its allies. The company is known for its advanced drone models such as F7, F10, and the “shahed” interceptors LITAVR.
It is worth noting that other Ukrainian innovations are developing in parallel in the market. German ARX Robotics and Ukrainian Roboneers are jointly creating ARX Industries for the production of ground robotic complexes.
