Google will allocate $5 million for the development of the Ukrainian labor market
Google has announced a grant of $5 million to develop the digital ecosystem of the labor market “Horizons” in Ukraine. This initiative aims to streamline the interaction between employers and job seekers through modern technology.
The funds provided by Google will be used to implement various services such as skill assessments, career navigation, and automatic job matching. Additionally, there are plans to develop digital user profiles and electronic employment systems, as well as to introduce tools for predicting labor market needs.
This grant is a significant step in building the digital infrastructure for Ukraine’s labor market. Annette Kroeber-Riel, Google’s Vice President of Government Affairs in Europe, noted that the company sees this initiative as an investment in Ukraine’s human capital and economic recovery. The project will mark the first time Google supports the creation of such infrastructure at the Ukrainian level.
The state digital system “Horizons”, a joint project of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, is being implemented with the participation of the Office of Effective Regulation (BRDO). The platform aims to unite citizens, businesses, and the state in a single ecosystem, making it easier to find employment and necessary specialists.
