A major disruption occurred in the operation of the mobile application monobank, caused by issues with Amazon Web Services. This was reported by the head of the bank, Oleg Gorokhovsky, noting that the application has now resumed functioning.
The technical problems that caused temporary disruptions in monobank’s operation were confirmed to be a result of a glitch on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Besides monobank, other popular services like Slack, Twitch, CloudFlare, Viber, PrivatBank, Facebook, and Netflix also experienced difficulties. This is evidenced by data from the Downdetector service.
Earlier, in October 2025, similar AWS failures affected various services, including Slack, Canva, and Signal. At that time, over 8.1 million problem reports were recorded, with most complaints coming from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The technical difficulties arose due to issues in the EC2 internal network, affecting the US-EAST-1 endpoints.
Experts emphasize that such failures highlight the undesirable dependence of the internet on a limited number of tech companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. Although these giants have the financial means to ensure a stable service, the concentration of services poses a potential risk to the global network.
To avoid similar problems, cloud computing diversification is suggested. One example is the hybrid cloud model used by Tet Cloud, which combines global hyperscaler resources with local infrastructure.
| Country | Number of Complaints |

| USA | 1.9 million |
| United Kingdom | 1 million |
