Norwegian company Fynd Reality and Ukrainian Sensorama have joined forces to develop simulators.
Ukrainian company Sensorama announced collaboration with Norwegian Fynd Reality to develop immersive training scenarios for military equipment. This will increase the efficiency and safety of military training.
As part of the agreement, the Ukrainian company will develop realistic training scenarios for the Leopard 1A5 tank and the M113A3 armored personnel carrier using the Fynd CORE platform. The XR simulator from Fynd Reality for the Leopard 2 is already used in the training process of the Military Institute of Armored Forces at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Such training methods enable personnel to safely and remotely practice various procedures created based on scans of real combat vehicles. The scenarios teach equipment familiarization, maintenance, and procedural tasks. Importantly, the Fynd CORE platform supports a multi-user mode, allowing several military personnel to work on the scenarios simultaneously.
In light of these innovations, Ukrainian experts see significant potential in further digitalizing military personnel training. This could significantly reduce training costs and minimize the risk of injuries in real conditions. Such developments are part of broader efforts by Ukraine to develop technological approaches in the military field, which include creating a guided aerial bomb (GAB).
Ukraine has already tested and is ready to use its own aerial bomb. The Ministry of Defense purchased the first experimental batch, and to date, pilots are adapting its use to combat conditions.
