Ukraine is transitioning to an agentive digital state with the new AI service “Diia.AI”
In Ukraine, “Diia.AI” has been launched — an innovative artificial intelligence that simplifies citizens’ interaction with government services through a personal agent. It is the first such nationwide government service offering proactive assistance in resolving bureaucratic issues.
The new tool allows users to describe their needs in a chat format, and artificial intelligence automatically processes the requests. For example, to obtain a subsidy or start a business, simply write the appropriate request, and the system will generate the next steps. The service provides instant access to required documents or instructions, significantly saving citizens’ time and effort.
“Diia.AI” provides access to services such as obtaining a residence extract and paying fines for road traffic violations. The system can automatically notify drivers of fines and also assist in appealing or paying them directly in the chat.
To use “Diia.AI”, one needs to open the “Diia” app on a smartphone, select the “Diia.AI” icon, and state their question in one sentence. Experts recommend providing context — for instance, indicating one’s status when opening a business, which allows the AI agent to consider relevant opportunities.
Data security is a priority for the service. “Diia.AI” uses Google’s Gemini language model, but user data is encrypted and transmitted anonymously. Even during operation, artificial intelligence does not have access to your personal information.
“Diia.AI” promises to enhance efficiency and speed of service, transforming interaction with the state into a simple agentive process. This is a new step in the development of digital technologies in Ukraine, which can become an example for other countries.
