An Indian private company invests in the construction of an oil refinery in the US worth $300 billion.
US President Donald Trump announced a historic deal with the Indian company Reliance to construct the first oil refinery in 50 years in Brownsville, Texas.
The refinery, announced by America First Refining, will become the largest investment project of its kind in US history. Trump expressed gratitude to the Indian energy company Reliance for making a significant investment, which he said was made possible by the “America First” policy, ease of permits, and tax reductions.
The refinery is expected to strengthen national security, ensure high levels of domestic energy production, and promote economic growth in the region. The President emphasized that this project will stimulate global exports and create thousands of new jobs.
Amid escalating conflict in the Middle East, the US and Israel are conducting Operation “Epic Fury” in Iran. Trump announced the possibility of easing some oil sanctions to mitigate the conflict’s impact on the regional economy.
In response to Iran’s statements about blocking the Strait of Hormuz for oil transit, Trump threatened a powerful retaliatory strike. According to Axios, the president asked Israel to refrain from strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure, fearing a possible escalation in the Persian Gulf, which could lead to further increases in energy prices.
