President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the Munich Security Conference expressed a critical position on delays in delivering international aid to Ukraine from partners. He emphasized that such delays could negatively affect the situation in the country.
In his speech, Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted the importance of timely support, noting that energy workers, repair teams, and rescuers in Ukraine show exemplary dedication, working continuously and immediately. He urged politicians to learn such efficiency to act for the benefit of Ukraine now and here.
The President also mentioned the evolution of Shahed drones received by Russia from Iran, emphasizing that the prolonged duration of the war only increases the aggressor’s resources and deepens the threat of escalation.
He expressed gratitude for the support received but noted that Ukraine sometimes had to “knock out” the necessary types of weapons. Delays in the supply of such systems as HIMARS, tanks, and aircraft take away precious time. Zelensky called not to miss any opportunity to protect lives.
The President also highlighted the American PURL program, through which Ukraine receives most missiles for protection against ballistic threats from Russia. He thanked European partners for their financial support in this matter.
Zelensky expressed concern about the potential shortage of these missiles at critical moments, emphasizing the importance of timely replenishment of stocks.
During the conference, US Secretary of State Rubio emphasized the historical and civilizational unity of America and Europe, inviting partners to cooperate, while at the same time highlighting key principles of American immigration policy.
