OpenAI launches Prism — a cloud space for scientists with GPT-5.2 integration
OpenAI has announced Prism — a free cloud workspace for scientists that integrates GPT-5.2 artificial intelligence features and simplifies the process of writing and editing research.
The new service is already available to users with a personal ChatGPT account and is designed to optimize scientific work, often complicated by outdated and fragmented tools. The company also plans to expand access to Prism for organizations using ChatGPT Business, Team, Enterprise, and Education plans.
Prism combines text editors, LaTeX compilers, and other tools in one environment, allowing researchers to work on their projects without switching between different programs. Thanks to the integration of GPT-5.2, the new space supports various features such as communication in the context of specific research, text editing considering formulas and citations, scientific literature search, and handwriting formula conversion to LaTeX.
Prism is particularly oriented towards teamwork, supporting an unlimited number of co-authors and requiring no local LaTeX installation. This reduces file version problems and allows teams to focus on document content rather than technical management.
| Prism Features | Description |
