Ukrspecsystems opens drone production in the United Kingdom
Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems is launching its own drone production in Mildenhall, United Kingdom. This decision is part of a five-year development plan for the British market.
Head of the UK division of Ukrspecsystems Rory Chamberlain emphasized that the new plant will begin operations early next year. The site will include not only production workshops but also a runway for UAV testing. The main products will be the flagship models SHARK, Mini SHARK, and PD-2, as well as components for other manufacturers.
Despite entering the UK market, the R&D center will remain in Ukraine, as, according to Chamberlain, the country has become an epicenter of drone innovation that cannot be replicated in peaceful conditions. The British office will focus on adapting Ukrainian technologies to NATO standards and securing independent supply chains.
The expansion into the UK market will allow Ukrspecsystems to attain local manufacturer status, opening opportunities for defense orders from the governments of Allied countries.
| Main Models | Additional Components | Production Goals |
|---|---|---|
| SHARK | Gimbals | Adaptation to NATO standards |
| Mini SHARK | Launch systems | Creation of independent supplies |
| PD-2 | Parachute systems | Obtaining local manufacturer status |
