China and Russia have completed the third stage of joint missile defense exercises on Russian territory, not directed against any third country. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of China, noting that the exercises are not related to international or regional situations.
There was little information about the origin and timing of the exercises, but it is known that they took place in early December. This is already the third round of joint missile defense cooperation between the two countries, which are actively strengthening their defense ties. Earlier, in August, the countries conducted artillery and anti-submarine exercises in the Sea of Japan, and in November they discussed missile defense and strategic stability.
Such exercises are part of comprehensive defense cooperation between China and Russia, which is being reinforced against the backdrop of changes in the geopolitical situation in the world. Both countries focus on modern technologies in the military sphere, particularly, China has been testing the latest combat aircraft and drones, which indicates a growth of innovations in their military strategies.
