Ukrainians have started receiving assistance under the “Winter Support” program.
Within the framework of the state program “Winter Support,” Ukrainians have begun to receive payments of 1,000 UAH. The payments can be used for utilities, medicines, Ukrainian-made products, and other needs.
The state program “Winter Support” provides for one-time assistance of 1,000 UAH for Ukrainians, as well as 6,500 UAH for those affected by the war or in difficult life circumstances. The funds can be spent on basic needs, but the use for excise goods or cash withdrawal from the special account is prohibited. Applications for the amount of 6,500 UAH are accepted until December 17.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the “Winter Support” on November 1, and on November 15, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko confirmed the official start of the program. It is expected that the assistance will cover from 10 to 14 million people with a budget of up to 14 billion UAH.
In particular, the program is aimed at assisting vulnerable groups, such as children under guardianship, children with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and single pensioners. The support can be spent on necessary items such as clothes, shoes, and medicines. This step is important for strengthening social stability in the country.
Charitable organizations urge the population to contribute funds to the needs of the Defense Forces, emphasizing the importance of solidarity in these difficult times.
