The General Staff of Ukraine refuted Russia’s claims of capturing territories in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
The Ukrainian command responded to the statement by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, about the alleged complete capture of Kupiansk and Yampil. According to their data, both settlements are under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, where counter-diversionary and search-strike operations continue against the enemy’s sabotage-reconnaissance groups.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also dismissed information about the alleged capture of 80% of Vovchansk and 70% of Pokrovsk. In Pokrovsk, search and assault actions continue, with additional logistical routes being organized to support Ukrainian troops. The Ukrainian side has repeatedly stated the uncovering and elimination of enemy assault groups.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russian statements are intended to conceal significant losses of the Russian army. The command also reminded of numerous civilian casualties caused by Russian attacks, as occurred during the strike on a residential building in Ternopil.
Analysts from the Deepstate project confirm that the occupiers do not control most of the mentioned territories, and Yampil is in a “gray zone.” According to the Navy, Russian forces used a 3000-kilogram aerial bomb in Myrnohrad near Pokrovsk.
