The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development initiated significant changes in the management of key state enterprises in water transport. The first steps involved the dismissal of the management of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDSC) and the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine (ASPU).
In a statement issued on November 20, the ministry confirmed that the newly established supervisory board has already supported the resignation of the UDSC head. This decision is part of a broader strategy to modernize the management system, which includes a transparent competition for the position of UDSC head. Simultaneously, the creation of a supervisory board for the ASPU is being initiated, signaling the implementation of similar measures in other transport sectors, including rail and air transportation.
Officials have previously approved a plan for the reform of the energy sector, which includes the approval of a new supervisory board for Energoatom. These measures are related to the investigation of Operation Midas, which uncovered widespread corruption in the energy sector, particularly the misuse of Energoatom funds.
