Ukraine has increased the supply of agricultural products for export.

Ukraine increased agricultural exports in October amid improved weather conditions

In October 2025, Ukraine exported 4.5 million tons of agricultural products, which is 20.8% more compared to the previous month. This growth was driven by an acceleration in harvest rates following prolonged unfavorable weather conditions.

According to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the harvesting of soybeans, sunflowers, and corn this year was delayed due to the weather, but in October, harvesting rates increased significantly. Important factors for the increase in exports also included the cancellation of the 10% duty on soybean and rapeseed exports and favorable conditions in the sunflower oil market.

The largest increase in exports was demonstrated by oil crops and their processed products. In October, Ukraine exported 2.7 million tons of cereals, among which wheat accounted for 56%, corn – 35%, and barley – 8%. Grain exports increased by 9% compared to September. Additionally, 447.1 thousand tons of oilseeds, 510.8 thousand tons of vegetable oils, and 467.2 thousand tons of meal were exported.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, corn exports in October were oriented towards the EU, Asian, and African countries. The largest sales market was the European Union countries, which accounted for 52.2% of all exports, including Italy with imports of 263.1 thousand tons. The average export price was $205.6 per ton.

Analysts note that the increase in agricultural exports is an important factor in stabilizing the economic situation in Ukraine, especially against the backdrop of previous production declines. Improved weather conditions have provided a basis for increased harvest yields and the restoration of export indicators.

Cereal crops 2,700 9
