Tamers of the “Serpent”: How Rovertech Creates UAVs for Demining, Firefighting, Assault, Evacuation, and Sabotage Behind Enemy Lines

Rovertech develops military robot technologies without attracting investments

Famous historian Timothy Snyder and actor Mark Hamill have delivered three dozen new military robot teams to the front, including the demining platform “Snake” from the company Rovertech. This was part of efforts to develop Ukrainian defense technologies.

Founded in the summer of 2023, Rovertech focuses on the development and improvement of military robotic systems. One of its most important products is the demining platform “Snake,” which can withstand anti-tank mine explosions. The story began when the military requested the development of demining tools, as sappers were clearing about 500 square meters of land per day. With the help of their first prototype, this figure increased tenfold.

Despite the challenges of starting production, Rovertech managed to certify the “Snake” and achieve impressive results: the efficiency of demining anti-personnel mines became one of the highest in the industry. Among the main achievements is the ability to initiate explosions of all types of mines, including complex ones like the “Petal.”

The co-owners of the company emphasize the importance of reinvesting profits in the development of new products, which allows them to avoid attracting external investments and maintain independence in their decisions. Despite the company still operating at “break-even,” they plan to expand and prepare for export. Adidas has already noticed their latest achievements and has taken interest in the “Snake” with its capabilities for evacuating the fallen and transporting cargo even in difficult conditions, including working behind enemy lines.

Regarding further development, Rovertech is leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the stability and autonomy of their systems. In particular, Rovertech, together with the Third OMB’s strike company, is developing assault robots that can effectively support military operations. The company is currently working on increasing production capabilities and preparing for collaboration within export projects.
