The Government of Ukraine has introduced an electronic system for the registration of conscripts and reservists
From December 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a new procedure for the preparation of military registration documents, which will now be created in electronic form through the “Reserve+” mobile application.
Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko announced that the innovation will concern conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists, for whom the “Reserve+” app will become the main tool for obtaining registration documents. The updated procedure provides for the creation and storage of documents in digital format with the option to print them if necessary.
To optimize the registration process, the government has updated regulations No. 1487 and No. 559. The benefits of this system, as Svyrydenko emphasized, include reducing the risks of loss or forgery of documents, as well as simplifying military registration processes. According to the Prime Minister, approximately 6 million Ukrainians are already using the “Reserve+” app, while “Army+” has nearly a million users.
Among the new features in the “Reserve+” app is the addition of the owner’s photo, which allows for the identification of individuals without the need to rely on physical documents. This innovation is part of the government’s broader efforts towards the digitalization of public services.
| Application | Number of users |
|---|---|
| Reserve+ | 6 million |
| Army+ | 1 million |
