In Warsaw, a possible meeting between Zelensky and Nawrocki in Volyn was denied
The Polish authorities have denied rumors of a possible meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Polish counterpart Karol Nawrocki in Volyn. Negotiations between the countries continue to determine the date of Zelensky’s visit to Warsaw.
The head of the International Policy Bureau of the Polish Presidential Office Marcin Przydacz reported on RMF24 that active negotiations are ongoing with Kyiv regarding the date of the Ukrainian president’s visit to Poland. If the meeting takes place, it will be held in Warsaw and will focus on important issues of bilateral relations, including security and the economy.
Przydacz emphasized that the rumors about a meeting in Volyn do not correspond to reality. The possibility of Zelensky’s visit to Warsaw has been discussed since the end of October, when Nawrocki’s entourage stated that the Ukrainian president should come to the Polish capital if he wants to meet him personally.
The growing interest in the meeting between the two leaders is associated with the ongoing strengthening of relations between Ukraine and Poland. The importance of discussing security issues is increasing against the backdrop of the current geopolitical situation.
