Members of the U.S. Democratic Party should not automatically be regarded as unequivocally pro-Ukrainian, as “questionable figures” are entering Congress. This assessment was voiced by Oleksandr Kraiev, head of the North America programme at the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council.
The analyst commented on whether Ukraine will remain a focus of attention for Democrats in the U.S. Congress.
Kraiev cautioned against equating Democratic Party affiliation with guaranteed support for Ukraine. At the same time, he did not name specific members of Congress or candidates whom he considers “questionable figures.”
