Russian troops continue their relentless attempts to penetrate the city of Huliaipole, located in the Zaporizhzhia region, but face active resistance from Ukrainian military forces.
South Defense Forces representative Vladyslav Voloshyn reported that Russian assault units enter the city and occasionally infiltrate residential buildings, but do not hold their positions for long due to the strong resistance from defenders. Over the past day, there have been about ten combat engagements in the northeast and east of the city.
Voloshyn noted that Russian troops are also actively using aviation, including guided aerial bombs, attacking not only Huliaipole but also the nearby town of Zaliznychne. The main goal of these attacks is to prepare for new assault actions and destroy Ukrainian fortifications.
According to intelligence, conditions on the frontline are complicated by poor visibility and weather, but the Russian side does not cease attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses. As Voloshyn pointed out, this leads to fierce battles in the region.
