Ukrainian aviation strengthens fight against Russian drone operators amid “Rubicon” threat
Amid the confrontation with Russian occupiers, Ukrainian aviation has significantly intensified its efforts in fighting the drone operators of the Russian army, particularly working towards the destruction of the alternative center “Rubicon”.
The importance of the work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ aviation in combatting drone operators was reported by serviceman of the 413th regiment “Raid” and Defense Express expert Ivan Kirychevskyi. He emphasized that “Rubicon” is particularly dangerous for Ukrainian forces, as it is an alternative Russian unit established for conducting operations against Ukraine, defying possible obstacles from the centralized command of the Russian Federation.
Kirychevskyi noted that the elimination of “Rubicon” as a phenomenon could significantly reduce the effectiveness of Russian military culture, which allows the use of drones. Ukrainian aviators have achieved substantial success in this area, although the details of their work often remain unnoticed.
An officer from the Main Intelligence Directorate with the call sign Azimuth added that Ukraine and Russia have different approaches to developing unmanned systems. Russia focuses on scaling a single model, whereas Ukraine can locally create dozens of different models. According to him, the Russian military intelligence stands behind “Rubicon,” and one of the key figures in its management is the Russian Minister of Defense.
Experts emphasize that the activation of efforts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces can significantly weaken Russian drone operations and impact the course of the conflict. The importance of “Rubicon” in the Russian strategy is also confirmed by the possibility of recruiting representatives from any military units into its ranks.
| Elements of “Rubicon” | Ukrainian actions |
