According to the Telegram channel ASTRA, it is likely that the “Luch” power plant was attacked. After reports of danger, more than 20,000 subscribers in Belgorod and the region were left without electricity, and power also disappeared in 10 localities of the Kursk region. A fire occurred at one of the energy facilities. On the night of November 9, Voronezh also suffered a missile attack, resulting in power and heating outages.
Although Vyacheslav Gladkov did not provide any forecasts regarding the restoration of power supply, he expressed hope that these changes would not create significant discomfort for the city’s residents. However, the situation highlights the vulnerability of the energy infrastructure during attacks, which experts hope may stimulate more active modernization of protective systems.
