In Ukraine, an AI system for drone detection from Danish company Terma A/S was tested.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced the successful testing of an artificial intelligence system for detecting enemy drones, developed by Denmark’s largest defense company, Terma A/S.
During the tests, the Danish technology was integrated with the Ukrainian interceptor “Gorska” from Odd Systems to enhance the range and accuracy of detecting Russian aerial threats. The tests were organized by the Brave1 cluster and included direct feedback from Ukrainian military personnel. According to Fedorov, it is in Ukraine where global defense technologies undergo unique combat tests that can’t be conducted in any other country in the world.
Based on feedback from military personnel, further system improvements and the next stage of testing are planned. This underscores Ukraine’s important role as a testing ground for innovations in the defense sector.
The Danish company Terma A/S is known for producing over 80 components for the F-35 fighter jet, and cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers opens up prospects for further security technology development. Experts note that such initiatives can strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and promote the exchange of advanced technical solutions with international partners.
