Google introduced a new artificial intelligence tool for scientific research
Google announced an innovative tool, Scholar Labs, designed to assist researchers in finding answers to complex scientific questions using artificial intelligence.
Google developed Scholar Labs to facilitate the analysis of complex scientific queries by identifying key themes, aspects, and interconnections. The tool searches the Google Scholar database to identify scholarly articles that best answer the posed question. Each found article is accompanied by an explanation of how it specifically addresses the query.
Users can ask additional questions for a deeper understanding of the topic. Scholar Labs maintains the standard features of Google Scholar, familiar to researchers, but adds a new dimension through AI capabilities.
Currently, Scholar Labs is available as an experimental feature only to a limited number of users and supports queries in English. Google plans to improve the service based on feedback from early users and expand its availability. The feature is currently closed to the general public, but interested parties can register to receive notifications about its future availability.
