Unknown electronic device discovered near the Coordination Headquarters in Kyiv
An unknown electronic device, presumably a radio beacon, was found near the building of the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoners of War Issues in Kyiv. Law enforcement is investigating its origin and purpose.
According to the press service of the Coordination Headquarters, the discovery was recorded on the evening of December 19 at the entrance to the public reception. Employees immediately reported the situation to the police and relevant services. Currently, an investigative team is inspecting the scene.
The Coordination Headquarters is an open public space aimed at helping families of prisoners and missing military personnel. The police have yet to make official comments regarding the incident. The publication LIGA.net sent a request to the National Police of Ukraine for additional information, but no response had been received at the time of publication.
Earlier in September 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian intelligence agent for setting up disguised video cameras in Kyiv, which were used to adjust strikes and detect Ukrainian air defense systems.
