Ukrainian forces contained the situation after an attempt by Russian airborne troops in Novopavlivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, reported the 59th Separate Assault Drone Brigade. As a result of the incident, enemy losses amounted to 15 killed, and two were captured.
According to the 59th brigade, enemy infantry and equipment were destroyed thanks to the efforts of assault battalion drones and friendly units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A Russian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle was also destroyed, and a BMP-1KSh was captured as a trophy.
An analysis of the events indicates that the Russians launched an attack on Novopavlivka on November 14, using fog to move equipment across a pontoon. According to the Deepstate analytical project, at that time, the destruction of one Russian tank and a BMP had been detected.
The location of Novopavlivka, just 4.5 km from the border between the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, grants it strategic importance. Even a temporary breakthrough could lead to complications in this direction, but the defenders’ timely response prevented further enemy advancement.
