Ukrainian intelligence for the first time revealed the scale of losses inflicted on Russia thanks to “Magura” sea drones. According to the data, a number of ships, helicopters, and planes were hit, and over 100 invaders were eliminated.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine reported that as a result of using “Magura” sea drones, nine vessels, three helicopters, two fighter jets, and one armored carrier were sunk or disabled. Among the damaged ships are the patrol ship “Sergey Kotov” and the reconnaissance ship “Ivan Khurs”. It was noted that confirmed personnel losses are 118 dead and 15 injured based on intelligence data.
In particular, the death of five reconnaissance divers in the Novorossiysk bay during an attempt to retrieve the drone on July 6, 2025, has been confirmed. However, intelligence emphasized that the actual number of losses may be significantly higher than the published data.
At the end of October, the SBU also reported successful sea drone attacks on 11 Russian military vessels, noting an improvement in their effectiveness. It should be considered that these attacks are of great importance against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict, underlining the ability of the Ukrainian armed forces to engage actively at sea.
