In the Kirovohrad region, the most expensive agricultural plot in Ukraine has been sold
Through the electronic system Prozorro.Sales, over 30 thousand land plots have been sold since the beginning of 2021, amounting to almost 8 billion hryvnias. The most expensive was a plot in the Kirovohrad region with an area of almost 4 thousand hectares.
According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, this amount was achieved due to the active participation in the system by both organizers and participants in the auctions, which included nearly 3 thousand organizers. Up to three-quarters of the auctions included agricultural plots.
The Land Bank, a state project, became the leader in revenue from the sale of agricultural lands, surpassing other communities and organizations. As a result of the auctions, 1.1 billion hryvnias are annually transferred to budgets of various levels. The Oknyansk community in Odesa and the Buryn community in Sumy followed in terms of economic indicators.
According to the electronic system’s data, one of the most expensive plots was a land area in the Kirovohrad region, transferred through the Land Bank. Its winner will annually pay over 65.5 million hryvnias. At the same time, among plots of other designations, the highest funds were raised by the Murovanska community in Lviv, selling 50 hectares of industrial, transport, and energy land for 102.7 million hryvnias.
This active market has become part of the overall policy of reforming Ukraine’s agricultural sector. In 2023, the Verkhovna Rada passed a bill that provides for the transfer of all state agricultural lands for lease with the possibility of sublease, opening up new opportunities for investors.
