Ukrainian company Swarmer received $500,000 in investments from the Oppenheimer Syndicate
Ukrainian technology company Swarmer has attracted half a million dollars from the newly established Oppenheimer Syndicate to develop their innovations in artificial intelligence for drones. This investment is the first for the investment syndicate of the Oppenheimer Acceleration Fund.
The fund operates under the auspices of the international VC group Network VC Group and specializes in investments in military technologies and dual-use technologies. Representatives of the Oppenheimer Syndicate expressed hope that cooperation with Swarmer will facilitate the involvement of other Ukrainian and international investors in the defense startup space.
Previously, Swarmer secured a record $15 million for Ukraine to develop defense technologies following Russia’s full-scale invasion. This indicates the growing attractiveness of Ukrainian technologies to investors despite challenging circumstances.
The Oppenheimer Acceleration Fund actively interacts with leading industry players such as Brave1 and Sikorsky Challenge and actively organizes Demo Days in Silicon Valley and Kyiv. According to experts, interest in defense technologies is growing, driven by the global modernization of defense systems and the increasing importance of security technologies worldwide.
