Russia experienced new drone attacks in the Oryol and Vladimir regions
On the night of November 5, new drone attacks occurred in the Oryol and Vladimir regions of Russia. Local governors reported destroyed drones and damage after explosions.
The governor of the Oryol region, Andrey Klychkov, stated that the drones that were shot down over the region damaged private houses and agricultural buildings upon falling. At the same time, OSINT experts from the Telegram channel ASTRA believe that the explosions occurred near the CHP plant, which suffered from a similar attack on October 31. In the videos taken by eyewitnesses, explosions can be seen, which, according to ASTRA, happened near the CHP plant.
Analysis showed that the attack could have been carried out using missiles or jet drones, as no sounds of alarms or the work of air defense systems were recorded in the videos. Also, there is a defense enterprise “Oreltekmash” in the area, which may increase the strategic significance of this territory for the attackers.
The governor of Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev, noted that the attacks were aimed at the region’s energy infrastructure. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting 40 drones, although Vladimir region was not mentioned in the report.
These events occurred against the backdrop of recent drone strikes on a petrochemical plant in Bashkortostan and an oil refinery in Kstovo. This indicates a general intensification of attacks on strategically important facilities in Russia.
