Ukrainian scouts conducted an operation in the “gray zone” of the former Kakhovka reservoir
A successful operation to eliminate Russian soldiers was conducted on the territory of the former Kakhovka reservoir, led by fighters from the “Brotherhood” unit. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
The operation took place in the area of “Velyki Kuchuhury” — a group of islands located northeast of the Kakhovka reservoir, seven kilometers from the shoreline. During the mission, Ukrainian special forces discovered and eliminated two Russian military personnel, and the national flag of Ukraine was raised over the islands, signaling their capture.
The operation’s context is part of broader efforts by the Ukrainian side to increase control over territories in active combat zones. At the time of this news, it remained unknown how this operation would affect the general military situation in the region. However, such actions demonstrate a high level of training and coordination of Ukrainian military units.
Recall that on October 26, during the “Dam” operation in the Belgorod region, the high effectiveness of Ukrainian military actions was also noted, confirming concerns about the Russian positions.
