$1.2 billion for the development of autonomous technologies: German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems received investment.

German Quantum Systems raises $1.2 billion to expand autonomous systems production

Quantum Systems, a German company in the military technology sector, has successfully raised $1.2 billion in a Series D round, increasing its market valuation to $8 billion. The company plans to scale up its production capabilities and expand its presence in global markets.

The main objective of the raised funds is to transition from individual drone platforms to an integrated ecosystem of autonomous systems based on the MOSAIC UXS software platform. Additionally, the financing will be used to expand production capabilities, strengthen supply chains, and increase the supply volumes to partner countries’ markets.

Co-CEO Sven Kruk noted that Quantum Systems is scaling the production of autonomous systems for air, land, and sea environments. The company already has a developed network of production sites in Germany, Ukraine, the USA, Australia, Romania, the UK, and the Baltic States. In 2025, the company executed over 19,000 missions in Ukraine, demonstrating a significant impact of technologies on operational capabilities in various sectors.

The funding round brought together the efforts of Blackstone, Noteus, Airbus, and Advent, as well as companies like BOND, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Wellington Management, and others. This indicates a strong investor interest in developments in the defense technology sector.

Quantum Systems continues to develop its technologies by entering into a strategic partnership with the Ukrainian company Frontline and establishing the joint defense venture Quantum Frontline Industries. These steps underline the company’s global ambitions in developing innovative solutions for the defense sector.
