Ukrainian company SkyFall and German Airbus Defence and Space have signed a memorandum for technology integration to strengthen Ukraine’s defense. By providing expertise, the companies aim to enhance Ukraine’s role in the European defense sphere.
As part of the memorandum, SkyFall and Airbus Defence and Space have planned the integration of P1-SUN interceptors with the Airbus Air C2 airspace management system. The main goal of the partnership is to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities against missile and drone threats. This joint initiative aims to create a multi-layered air and missile defense system.
Michael Schöllhorn, CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, noted that through this alliance, the gap between traditional defense systems and innovative solutions with a short development cycle is expected to be bridged. Airbus will provide its expertise in command and control, while SkyFall will deliver core defense technologies.
Ukrainian SkyFall has stood out as a leading company in the development of unmanned systems, such as Vampire drones, FPV-drones Shrike, and P1-Sun interceptors. Airbus Defence and Space is a key division of aerospace giant Airbus Group, focusing on aviation and space developments as well as defense services.
The significance of this collaboration is highlighted against the backdrop of diplomatic efforts by Ukraine and Denmark, which have begun a dialogue on the possibility of deploying SkyFall’s manufacturing capabilities in Denmark, emphasizing strategic cooperation between the countries.
