Employee reservation: from June, enterprises must increase the average salary
Enterprises that claim the status of critically important for reserving employees must ensure an average salary of at least three minimum wages, which amounts to 25,941 UAH, according to a statement from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
This requirement is part of a new approach to reserving employees, which was previously approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and requires enterprises to increase salaries in order to obtain or confirm critical status. If an enterprise applies for this status in July, the average salary for June will be taken into account. Updated decisions on employee reservations will come into effect at least until September 1.
State bodies must review the industry and regional criteria for determining critically important enterprises by June 10. After that, companies will be able to submit documents to obtain the new status. Decisions on new reservations will be made until August, but only after the completion of the criteria review.
Enterprises that lose status due to changes in industry or regional criteria will be able to re-submit documents with updated requirements. A lower salary threshold is provided for territories adjacent to the front, which amounts to 21,618 UAH (2.5 minimum wages).
The new rules are designed to ensure the financial stability of employees of critically important enterprises, as well as to optimize the reservation process to avoid excessive and unjustified retention of personnel during martial law.
| Criterion | Value |
|---|---|
| Average Salary | > 25,941 UAH (3 minimum wages) |
