The GUR reports that the Russian drone “Klyn” with artificial intelligence is equipped with foreign components: from which countries?

The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine has discovered that the Russian drone “Klin” is equipped with artificial intelligence and contains foreign-made components. This underscores its technological complexity and the international aspect of its components.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the drone was developed by the Russian company “Roboavia” in the Rostov region. According to the information, the drone has a fuselage 1.6 meters long and a wingspan of 1.9 meters, with a Chinese Scorpion brushless electric motor used as the power unit, powered by two lightweight batteries.

One of the key features of the “Klin” drone is the presence of machine vision technology for automatic target acquisition. It is implemented based on the American Nvidia Jetson TX2 computer module. Similar technologies have already been observed in other Russian drones, such as “Lancet”, Zala, V2U, and Russo-Iranian “Geran-2”.

The drone also uses the Australian Cube Orange flight controller, the Chinese Holybro F9P navigation module with enhanced accuracy mode RTK, and a Chinese radio modem for communication. Components from the USA, Switzerland, Taiwan, and South Korea have been found on other drone boards. Overall, it can carry a cumulative or explosive warhead weighing up to 5 kg. The “Klin” is capable of adjusting its course when approaching a target at various speeds and angles of attack, with a maximum speed of 300 km/h.

This discovery is part of a broader context in which Ukraine is stepping up its efforts to procure and use medium-range drones for strikes at a distance of 120-150 km. These means are aimed at vulnerable targets of Russian military logistics and infrastructure. This highlights the carefully thought-out strategies and tactics used in modern armed conflicts.
