“Need to stop searching for people on the streets”: Butusov stated that the problem with bunification can be solved by corps and brigades

Proposal to change the mobilization process in Ukraine by military journalist Yuriy Butusov

Military serviceman and journalist Yuriy Butusov proposed changing the mobilization process in Ukraine by directly involving the Defense Forces units, which would help avoid problems during personnel replenishment.

Yuriy Butusov, a fighter of the National Guard brigade “Khartiya” and a well-known military journalist, expressed his opinion on the mobilization process in Ukraine. According to him, the territorial recruitment centers (TRC), responsible for mobilization, face problems that can be solved by involving army corps and brigades in the process. Butusov believes that such military units could establish effective cooperation with local communities and authorities, ensure accurate accounting of mobilized personnel, and provide quality communication with citizens.

The main problem, according to Butusov, is the discrepancy between TRC reports and the actual situation, where some mobilized individuals should not be conscripted on legitimate grounds, and others are completely unfit for service. This leads to fragmentation of responsibility and loss of personnel during service. He emphasized that the mobilization process should be unified, with clear responsibility of unit commanders.

Butusov highlighted the importance of ensuring a transparent and clear logic of the mobilization process to avoid violations of human rights. According to him, this would create a more trusting atmosphere among citizens who see that their rights are respected and that they are being properly prepared for service. This could reduce the number of voluntary dismissals and absconding from service.

In addition to this, in the same interview, Butusov warned about a possible active Russian offensive on the front in April, emphasizing the need for the Defense Forces to be ready to meet the enemy.

Problem Solution
Fragmentation of responsibility Unified reporting of commanders
Reporting does not match reality Involving military units in the process
Violations of mobilized individuals’ rights Transparent mobilization process
