Israel launched an offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon

The Israeli army launched an offensive against “Hezbollah” in Lebanon

Israel announced the start of an offensive operation against the Lebanese organization “Hezbollah,” which could lead to prolonged fighting. This announcement came after rocket attacks from “Hezbollah.”

The Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, reported a transition from defense to offense in Lebanon. According to him, Israel is now conducting active offensive operations that require sustainable readiness of both defensive and offensive forces. He emphasized that the operation could last several days and involves significant intensity of strikes.

The Chief of the Northern Command, Major General Rafi Milo, noted that Israel has significantly strengthened its forces along the border with Lebanon. Following the latest wave of rocket attacks from “Hezbollah,” Israel carried out a series of strikes on its positions in Beirut and southern Lebanon. The strikes targeted senior operatives, headquarters, and infrastructure of the terrorist group. The army is also organizing the evacuation of civilians before possible subsequent bombings.

This development occurs against the backdrop of the “Epic Fury” military operation jointly launched by the US and Israel against Iran. Within its framework, Tehran and other cities were attacked, leading to the death of Iran’s supreme leader. As part of this campaign, the US received support from the United Kingdom in the form of permission to use military bases.

It is interesting to note the involvement of Ukrainian experts to counter Iranian drones. Donald Trump, who spoke sharply on this topic, called on Iranian troops to lay down their arms.
