Verification of Ukrainian Starlink: Details from the Minister of Defense
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine reported on the progress of verification of Starlink terminals in Ukraine and explained the reasons for possible malfunctions in their operation.
The process of verifying Starlink terminals is ongoing in Ukraine, which requires some time. The first batch of terminals that have been placed on the “whitelist” is already activated, stated Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. He noted that the “whitelists” are updated once a day, so if a terminal has been submitted for registration but is not yet operational, a little patience is needed.
The process of terminal verification is a significant task, and work is currently underway to ensure that data verification is carried out in real-time. At the same time, Fedorov emphasized that the terminals of Russian users have already been blocked.
The minister reminded that Ukrainian citizens need to verify their Starlink through the Center for Administrative Services (CNAP). For legal entities, the corresponding service will soon be available on the “Diia” portal. The minister stressed the critical importance of verifying all terminals used for defense purposes. Military personnel should submit the numbers of their Starlink terminals through the DELTA system. To do this, there is no need to place personal terminals on the balance sheet of the military unit or transmit account data — it is enough to include the terminal in the “whitelist” so that it can operate after blocking.
