During the night of December 7, Russia launched a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, deploying 246 assets, most of which were neutralized. However, drone and missile strikes still resulted in destruction and casualties.
According to the Air Force data, the enemy delivered a combined strike on critical infrastructure. The attack involved over 150 “Shahed” drones, two “Iskander-M/KN-23” ballistic missiles, and three Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles. Notably, 175 drones, two “Kinzhal,” and two “Iskander/KN-23” were shot down, although 65 strike drones hit 14 locations.
In the Chernihiv region, drone strikes affected Novhorod-Siverskyi, where a 50-year-old man died. Rescue workers reported fires in an abandoned building, a residential house, and an outbuilding, which were quickly extinguished. Infrastructure in Kremenchuk also suffered from the attack, causing disruptions to water, electricity, and heating.
It is worth recalling that on the night of December 6, Russian forces also launched a massive attack, firing 51 missiles and 653 drones. As a result of these strikes, the main building of the railway station in Fastiv burned down, and a warehouse fire broke out in Dnipro over an area of 6,500 square meters.
