In the Land Forces, they commented on the violation of servicemen’s rights – referring to specific units.

Ombudsman Olha Reshetylova stated about the discovered cases of human rights violations against servicemen in certain assault regiments of the Defense Forces, which necessitated an investigation by law enforcement agencies.

Ukraine’s military ombudsman Olha Reshetylova made serious accusations of human rights violations against servicemen in some assault regiments of the Defense Forces. In an interview with LB, she noted that during inspections conducted with the participation of representatives from the President’s Office, numerous instances of illegal actions were revealed. In particular, there were reports of beatings, illegal deprivation of liberty, and threats to the lives and health of servicemen and their relatives.

Reshetylova emphasized that the identified violations were handed over to law enforcement agencies, and now all attention is focused on the effectiveness of their investigation. She also noted that it concerns only certain regiments where leadership considered themselves unpunished. At the same time, the Land Forces noted that most commanders adhere to standards and maintain discipline.

The military police did not confirm 13 complaints received regarding the “Skala” regiment, which, according to the ombudsman, raises questions about its effectiveness. This prompted Reshetylova to initiate a new inspection of the regiment, marked as one of the largest human rights violators in the Armed Forces.

The Land Forces called for a careful examination of the submitted materials to ensure justice and protect servicemen. They emphasized the importance of protecting each warrior and ensuring that service adheres to the established standards for which they are fighting.
