Ukrainian startup Di-agnostics uses acoustic data to predict industrial equipment failures. Its mobile application helps reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
Startup Di-agnostics, founded by Andriy Stolbov, Andriy Starzhynskyi, and Yaroslav Nedashkovskyi, recently showcased their product in the “Startup of the Day” section of the AIN.UA platform. The startup team, consisting of 10 people, has developed a solution capable of predicting equipment failures based on the sounds it emits. The mobile app captures acoustic signals and determines whether the equipment is functioning within normal parameters and detects potential failure threats.
The development of the startup’s MVP took about a year. During this time, customer expectations for such solutions have significantly increased. Despite this, the startup hopes for success due to a simpler and more efficient approach compared to specialized sensors offered by competitors.
Competitors of Di-agnostics are both equipment operators and technology companies that have already made their mark in the market but have been absorbed by large industrial solutions. The problem has been the unbalanced ratio between customer expectations and the real capabilities of technologies.
The market for predicting equipment failures is estimated at $5 to $8 billion globally, with about $13 million in Ukraine. The startup has already received investments amounting to $100,000 and confirmed its effectiveness in five pilot projects launched both in Ukraine and abroad. The invested efforts promise significant impact on the predictive analytics market.
