The first batches of adaptive clothing have been issued to wounded soldiers: 50,000 units received.

Ukrainian military personnel undergoing treatment in hospitals in frontline areas have started receiving specially designed adaptive clothing, known as “Wounded Packages.” This initiative was implemented by the Ministry of Defense to provide maximum comfort and facilitate access to injury sites.

The initial distribution of “Wounded Packages” is taking place in regions located in close proximity to combat zones. According to the Ministry of Defense, these areas include Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhia. Medical facilities located in these regions are given priority in the supply of these items.

As of now, the military has already received 50,000 units of adaptive clothing, including shirts, shorts, and pants. The main features of this clothing are widened legs and sleeves, velcro instead of buttons, and additional width regulation, making dressing and wound care easier.

This initiative is part of broader state efforts to improve the conditions of treatment and rehabilitation for military personnel. The importance of this event lies not only in improving the physical comfort of the military but also in easing the work of medical personnel attending to their care.

In addition, several important legislative changes in the field of social benefits have recently taken place. On July 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the payment of 15 million hryvnias to the families of military personnel who died in captivity. On October 9, the Verkhovna Rada passed a bill on regular payments of 50,000 hryvnias for military personnel who returned from captivity and require treatment.
