Former propagandists are now creating entertaining content on social networks
Formerly active in propaganda campaigns, activists have now chosen a new path — they create entertaining content on social platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. A notable example of this phenomenon is blogger Angelina Pichik, who attracts users’ attention with her unusual street interviews in Kyiv.
Angelina Pichik, who asks passersby questions like “How much money do you need for a comfortable life?” or “How did you meet?” quickly gained popularity. The blogger’s popularity was noticed by well-known Ukrainian brands, including ROZETKA, which started working with her to promote their products. Moreover, former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba participated in Pichik’s videos, further highlighting her growing influence in social media.
This raises questions about social reputation and memory, as people who previously engaged in propaganda easily find a new audience. Experts note that this phenomenon may affect trust in media and social platforms, as well as underscore the importance of critical thinking among users.
