The TikTok platform has begun testing a new feature that allows users to control the share of AI-generated videos in their feed. This tool provides more capabilities for managing content consumption.
The new control element in the form of a slider for AI content will be integrated into the existing “Manage Topics” section, which already allows users to set preferences for categories such as dance, fitness, or current events. The slider will have several levels, enabling management of the amount of AI material in the feed.
To ensure the effective operation of this filter, TikTok is also improving its AI content detection system. In particular, the company plans to implement invisible watermarks for content created using internal tools, such as AI Editor Pro, as well as for videos uploaded with the C2PA Content Credentials standard. This is intended to make it more difficult to remove watermarks, which is often done by users.
Recently, OpenAI announced the launch of a separate app for AI video, similar to TikTok. Such developments highlight significant changes in the social media sphere, where artificial intelligence plays an increasingly important role.
| Feature | Status | Integration |
|---|---|---|
| Slider for AI content | Testing | Manage Topics |
| Invisible watermarks | Development | AI Editor Pro, C2PA |
These changes will not only enhance user control but also potentially promote greater transparency and accountability in online content consumption. Experts believe that such innovations could change the perception and use of AI in social networks.
