As a result of a drone attack in the Krasnodar region, equipment at an oil refinery was damaged. The fire that broke out on the territory of the Afipsky oil refinery quickly ignited, but there were no casualties.
On the night of November 29, drones attacked the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, causing a fire and damage to some technical equipment. According to local authorities, the fire was localized to an area of 250 square meters. The plant’s employees were successfully evacuated to safety during the incident, and oil tanks, according to preliminary data, were not affected.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of 11 drones over the region. Crowded footage on the Telegram channel Supernova+ captured the moment of the drone strike, but the presence of explicit language led to video viewing restrictions.
The Afipsky oil refinery, established in 1963, is one of the key refineries in southern Russia, with a design capacity of about 6.25 million tons of oil per year. In recent years, the refinery has been hit by drones several times, causing material damage and triggering fires. Moreover, it plays a significant role in supplying fuel to the region and the military infrastructure of the Russian Federation.
