Apple has expanded the availability of its free sports app, Apple Sports, to new European countries, including Ukraine. The app can now be downloaded by iPhone users in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
The expansion of Apple Sports’ availability is part of a large campaign by the company to introduce its services to new markets. Along with Ukraine, the app is now available in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Greece, Romania, Baltic countries, and others. Initially, the service was launched in February 2024 and operated only in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
Apple Sports allows users to get up-to-date sports event results, detailed statistics, and schedules for upcoming matches. Recently, the app received several updates, including a widget for the home screen and a Live Activities feature for real-time match tracking. These changes aim to enhance user comfort and increase the platform’s interactivity.
Experts note that the expansion of Apple Sports’ geographic availability may enhance the company’s competitiveness in the European sports app market and increase user engagement within the Apple ecosystem through integration with other company products.
