The company ROZETKA stopped cooperating with blogger Angelina Pichik after revealing information about her past on pro-Russian TV channels. According to a report by LIGA.net journalist Yuriy Smyrnov, all promotional videos featuring her were removed.
Yuriy Smyrnov in his Facebook post highlighted that Angelina Pichik, who currently shoots entertaining videos for Instagram and TikTok, previously worked as a host on the channels NewsOne and NASh, which belonged to Yevgeny Murayev. The politician, who is suspected of treason, had to leave Ukraine. On the eve of Russia’s invasion in February 2022, Pichik called for rejecting NATO membership, which she believed was escalating the situation.
In parallel, her former co-host Maksym Nazarov, also known as Nazar Diodordytsa, received accusations from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) for justifying Russian aggression. Smyrnov noted that while Nazarov received suspicion, Pichik freely continues to make videos in the center of Kyiv. Her materials, which gain hundreds of thousands of views, often include interviews with well-known personalities, such as former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
In light of recent events, the activities of such bloggers are drawing public attention to the ethics of social media content. ROZETKA’s decision could set a precedent for other companies in choosing partners among influencers.
