Ukrainian intelligence officers destroyed two Russian radar systems “Nebo” and a “Buk” missile system on the frontline. The success of the operation is confirmed by a video released by the Main Intelligence Directorate.
On October 23 and 24, specialists from the Department of Active Actions of the GUR identified three expensive air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions, and Crimea. Thanks to coordinated actions, it was possible to destroy the self-propelled firing system with the “Buk-M3” SAM and two radar stations 1L119 “Nebo-SVU.” The estimated cost of a single “Buk-M3” SAM launcher is between 40 and 50 million dollars, and a full system set with ammunition can reach 100 million dollars. The cost of a single “Nebo” system is about 100 million dollars.
Earlier, on September 14, special GUR units destroyed a “Buk-M3” in Zaporizhzhia, and on October 20, the newest Russian radar systems “Valday” were burned in occupied Crimea. This series of successful operations demonstrates the effectiveness of Ukrainian intelligence and strike forces, as the destruction of such complexes can reduce the military potential of the occupiers.
