Anni Skorokhod has been assigned a preventive measure in the form of a bail of 3.28 million hryvnias
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has appointed a preventive measure for MP Anna Skorokhod in the form of a bail amounting to 3.28 million hryvnias. The case is being considered in the context of accusations of incitement to a bribe amounting to 250 thousand dollars.
According to reports by Suspilne, Skorokhod is accused of allegedly facilitating, along with accomplices, the imposition of sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council on a competitor company. The prosecutor requested a bail amount exceeding 10.5 million hryvnias, but the court decided on a lower bail amount.
Skorokhod’s lawyer emphasized that his client does not acknowledge her guilt, claiming that there is no evidence of her wrongdoing in the investigation materials. The MP will also be required to wear an electronic bracelet, not leave the country, and avoid contact with witnesses and other suspects.
The case also involves three suspected individuals, including the deputy director of the Osprey Global Solutions Ukraine charity fund, Andriy S. His hearings are conducted in closed session at the request of the parties to avoid disclosing pre-trial investigation materials.
Anna Skorokhod, who was elected as a member of the Rada from “Servant of the People” in 2019, has frequently been in the spotlight. She has claimed political persecution and has repeatedly engaged in conflicts with the party on various political issues.
