Trump ready to meet with Zelensky and Putin after completion of peace plan
US President Donald Trump plans meetings with Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin after the peace plan between Ukraine and Russia is agreed upon.
Donald Trump instructed the US special representative Steve Wiatcoff to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and US Army Minister Dan Driscoll to meet with the Ukrainian side to continue discussions on the peace plan. According to him, the initial plan consisted of 28 points but was reduced to 19 according to suggestions from both sides. Trump noted that his representatives are working on agreeing on the last discrepancies in Kyiv and Moscow.
The US President emphasized that he is ready to hold a meeting with Zelensky and Putin, but only when the peace treaty is completed or is at the final stage of agreement. The FT magazine reported that the negotiations took place in Geneva, where the parties reduced the number of points in the peace plan. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stressed that sensitive issues will be agreed upon personally by Zelensky and Trump.
Trump expressed hope that the signing of the agreement between Ukraine and Russia could be very close. Earlier, Zelensky declared his readiness to discuss sensitive moments of the peace plan with Trump, with a possible meeting date mentioned as November 27.
